A FibroScan is a non-invasive liver scan that can help detect the amount of fat in the liver.
What is it?
A FibroScan is similar to an ultrasound. It is non-invasive, painless and will help detect the amount of fat in your liver. You will receive a print out of the scan and an explanation of the results.
How much does it cost?
A FibroScan at CTT is free of charge. There is no insurance required. After receiving your results, you may be presented with some research study options where compensation for your participation is involved. There is no obligation to participate in a study to receive a free FibroScan.
What else is involved?
In addition to having a FibroScan, the fatty liver specialists will also check for risk factors for fatty liver (the disease which a FibroScan can help predict).
Type 2 Diabetes
High Blood Pressure
